
Steven Linowes – Chief Executive Officer
Steve Linowes brings a 20 year track record of success to the helm of Damballa.
A highly experienced senior executive at both entrepreneurial companies and
industry leaders, Mr. Linowes is known for his ability to grow early stage
opportunities into successful, scalable enterprises. Mr. Linowes has been the
CEO since the inception of Damballa and has built a world class team to address
the BotArmy threat. He has successfully led the company's efforts to sell
directly to Global 1000 enterprises, where the Damballa solution has detected
and eliminated significant, dangerous bot activity in every deployment. In
addition, he has established partnerships with key industry vendors to
incorporate Damballa's products into their market offerings. Prior to his
leadership at Damballa, Mr. Linowes founded and subsequently sold Mercatus
Communications, a leading communications application company with award-winning
products, to a large, publicly traded company in that market. Prior to Mercatus,
he held a variety of senior management positions with industry stalwarts
including Microsoft and Yahoo!, and startup companies such as Encompass, Inc.,
which was acquired by Yahoo! in 1999 for $130 million. An active champion of
community involvement, Mr. Linowes founded TechBridge, a non-profit organization
with more than 20 full-time employees that provides technology assistance to
hundreds of Southeastern, non-profit groups each year. He serves on the board of
the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta, and has previously served on the
boards of Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Atlanta Urban League, and the Board
of Visitors of Emory University.
Tripp Cox – Vice President of Engineering
Tripp Cox is VP of Engineering for Damballa responsible for all engineering and operations. Prior to joining Damballa, Tripp was the Chief Technology Officer and VP of Technology at EarthLink, a national provider of Internet, wireless and voice communications services. In his 11 years at EarthLink, Tripp was responsible for all aspects of EarthLink's technology strategy, including products and services, back office, and information technology processes and governance. Immediately prior to his role as CTO, Tripp served as VP of Engineering, where he developed EarthLink's most visible products and services, including myEarthLink, TotalAccess, spamBlocker, Spyware Blocker, and ScamBlocker.
Bill Guerry – Vice President of Product Management
As VP of Product Management, Bill is responsible for Damballa's product and marketing strategy. After joining Internet Security Systems, Inc. in the late nineties, Bill formed several successful relationships between ISS and major technology and consulting companies such as Hewlett Packard, PriceWaterhouse Coopers, and Qwest. Afterwards, Bill spent six years at SecureWorks, Inc. running their Product Management and Corporate Strategy functions. Bill was a critical part of the management team that grew SecureWorks from 100 clients and $100,000 in annual revenue to over 1,700 clients and $50 million in revenue. The company is a three-time recipient of the Inc. 500 award as well as Deloitte and Touche's Fast 50 for Georgia and Fast 500 for the United States. Bill has an MBA in finance from Vanderbilt University and a BA in Political Science and Mathematics from the University of the South.

Jeff McGough – Vice President of Operations
Jeff directs technical operations at Damballa. His responsibilities include all customer-facing operations, including installation and performance, as well as internal IT operations. Jeff comes to Damballa with deep experience across a wide range of enterprise-level hardware platforms, and an equally broad understanding of large-scale networking, operating systems, IT communications infrastructure and Web development environments. Prior positions include Senior Director of Production Operations for Employease (a division of ADP), Director of Systems Management at Security First Technologies, and a variety of other management posts that built on his skills with UNIX systems administration. These organizations include SITA, Control Data Corporation and Informix, among others. Jeff studied Computer Programming for Business Applications at the Missouri Institute of Technology.
